Strategy Officer Energy Business
Job Summary
The Strategy Officer will drive growth for the Energy Business Division by planning and executing business strategies for electricity and gas services. This role involves P&L and KPI analysis, developing new service plans, and conducting market research to optimize business profitability. You will work within a dynamic team to leverage Rakuten's IT ecosystem and big data to scale the retail energy business.
Responsibilities

You will be responsible for business strategy, new business planning, and promotion in our electricity retail business. Leveraging Rakuten Group's customer base and service lineup, this position allows you to develop unique business plans and drive business growth.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
■ Planning and executing business strategies to expand the energy business
■ Planning measures to strengthen the foundation of existing businesses
■ Planning new services (from planning to execution to increase the number of electricity sales customers)
■ Analyzing current issues, conducting research, planning and executing solutions, and conducting market research (current market research, competitor research, etc.)
■ Planning and executing collaborations with various internal businesses and services
■ Creating various documents, reports, and proposals

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
■ Current or past work experience in the power industry (any job title) or experience working with the power industry from an external position, such as a consultant
Preferred Qualifications:
■ Experience in business strategy
■ Business-level English proficiency
Languages:
■ Japanese: Fluent (JLPT Level 1 or N1)
Working Hours:
■ 9:00～17:30 (Flextime system applies; Core time: 11:00-15:00, or 8:00-12:00 on meeting days)
Holidays:
■ Full 5-day work week (Sat, Sun, Public Holidays)
■ Summer and Winter holidays
