AI Transformation Leader

Job Description We are seeking a Senior DevOps or Platform Engineering Leader with deep, hands-on expertise in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS). The successful candidate will lead the modernization of enterprise software delivery, strengthen platform governance, securely operate CI/CD practices, and help engineering teams deliver software faster, higher quality, more consistent, and more securely. Experience with GitHub Copilot, Coding Agents, MCP, RAG, Aggent AI, and enterprise-scale deployment programs is a plus. • Lead DevOps and platform engineering transformation initiatives across a complex enterprise technology environment. • Define and implement the GitHub Enterprise operating model, including organizational and repository governance, access control, policy management, and enterprise administration. • Design, standardize, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, automation patterns, and modern developer platform capabilities. • Establish secure software development methodologies by leveraging GHAS capabilities such as code scanning, secret scanning, dependency management, and security policy enforcement. • Assess the maturity of current SDLC, DevOps, platform, testing, deployment, and developer experience, identify gaps, and develop a realistic modernization roadmap. • Provide actionable technical leadership, architectural guidance, design reviews, troubleshooting, and coaching to engineering, DevOps, QA, security, and platform teams. • Collaborate with business, engineering, security, architecture, and delivery stakeholders to align transformation priorities, governance, dependencies, risks, and outcomes. • Support the implementation of GitHub Copilot, coding agents, AI-assisted engineering, MCP integration, RAG-based workflows, and other agent-based AI practices as needed. • Contribute to adoption and dissemination activities, including pilot projects, workshops, champion networks, onboarding, success metrics, KPI tracking, and value realization. Working Hours 9:00 - 18:00 Job Requirements 1. Senior DevOps or Platform Engineering Leader Extensive experience leading DevOps, platform engineering, CI/CD modernization, or software delivery transformation in large or complex organizations. Strong foundational knowledge of software engineering and a hands-on understanding of end-to-end SDLC, developer experience, cloud-native delivery, automation, and operational excellence. Proven ability to develop technical strategies and roadmaps, establish engineering standards, oversee implementation, and lead multiple development teams. Demonstrates stakeholder leadership, including collaboration with engineering, security, architecture, product, and senior business stakeholders. A hands-on leadership style with the ability to translate strategies into actionable architectures, standards, workflows, and measurable improvements. 2. GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GHAS Specialist Advanced, hands-on expertise in GitHub Enterprise Cloud and/or GitHub Enterprise Server, including enterprise, organizational, repository, identity, access, and policy management. Advanced experience in designing and managing enterprise-scale GitHub Actions workflows, reusable workflows, runners, secrets, environments, authorizations, and CI/CD automation. Advanced practical knowledge of GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), including code scanning, secret scanning, dependency review, security configuration, remediation workflows, and secure SDLC governance. Experience defining scalable repository standards, branching and pull request operations, workflow templates, governance management, and engineering security measures. Ability to diagnose complex GitHub platform and pipeline issues and provide reliable, actionable technical guidance to engineering teams. [Desired Skills/Experience] 3. GitHub Copilot, Coding Agents, MCP, RAG, and Agentic AI Practitioner Practical experience with GitHub Copilot, Copilot-based or other coding agents, AI-assisted software engineering, and AI-native development workflows. Practical knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol), RAG, AI assistants, tool-aware agents, multi-agent patterns, workflow orchestration, or specification-driven development. Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities into developer platforms, CI/CD workflows, engineering tools, or enterprise knowledge environments. Understanding of responsible and secure AI engineering, including access control, data protection, human oversight, evaluation, observability, and auditability. 4. Enterprise Transformation, Enablement, Deployment, KPI, and ROI Program Leader Experience leading enterprise transformation, developer development, technology deployment, or capability building programs across multiple engineering teams or business units. Ability to design and implement pilot projects, phased deployments, champion networks, workshops, office hours, coaching, onboarding, communication, and deployment acceleration activities. Experience defining deployment KPIs, engineering effectiveness metrics, productivity metrics, business cases, benefit tracking, and ROI frameworks. Ability to clearly communicate transformation progress, risks, results, and value to technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management. The ability to act autonomously, exert influence without direct authority, and effectively perform tasks within a global, multicultural team. Certifications in GitHub, cloud computing, DevOps, platform engineering, or security are advantageous. The ability to communicate in both Japanese and English is desirable for collaboration with domestic and international stakeholders.
