Job Details
Food & Beverage Department [Restaurant Sommelier]
As a sommelier, you will be responsible for selecting and serving wines that pair well with meals, as well as managing the wine inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and serve wine selections in accordance with Four Seasons standards.
* Manage monthly or weekly wine inventory.
* Manage wine disposal reports.
* Check wine storage and temperature in all restaurant wine cellars.
* Prepare wine program training for staff.
* Perform other duties as instructed by the restaurant manager.
Working Hours:
* 40 hours per week, 5 days work week
Job Requirements:
* Applicants must possess a sommelier qualification (or equivalent qualification/experience).
* Applicants must have sommelier experience in a restaurant or hotel (2 years or more is preferred).
* Applicants must have knowledge and experience in food and wine pairing, and wines from around the world.
* Applicants must possess strong customer service and communication skills.
* English proficiency (conversational skills necessary to interact with international guests).
* Applicants must be proactive in proposing ideas and bringing them to fruition (wine events and fairs).
* Applicants must be skilled at meticulous and careful work.
* Applicants must be proficient in basic PC operations such as Word and Excel.
Salary and Benefits:
* Annual salary of 3.6 to 4.5 million yen + bonus (depending on company performance; last year's performance: 3 months).
