Backend Engineer

### Overview of this position This is a core engineer position responsible for the entire process from design to operation of the backend used by nearly 650,000 people. In today's accelerating era of multi-product and microservices development, you will exercise broad discretion, from architecture design to quality improvement, under the latest AI-powered development platform, driving both user experience and business growth. ### Main responsibilities - Backend implementation and modification of assigned tickets and functions - Bug fixing and quality improvement of existing functions - Code reviews with team members - Project management with support from senior engineers ### Working Hours - Fully Remote (Limited to residents of the Kanto region) - Standard working hours: 8 hours 00 minutes, 60-minute break - No core time, hyper-flexible ### Job Requirements **[Required Skills]** - 2+ years of experience in web server-side development as a professional - Practical experience with Ruby on Rails - Experience in designing, developing, and operating web applications - Experience with cloud services (AWS or GCP) - Infrastructure knowledge is not required (willingness to learn and willingness to use are essential) **[Preferred Skills]** - Experience building AWS infrastructure - Experience designing with scalability in mind - Interest in the real estate industry or SaaS field **[Desired Candidate Profile]** - Someone who can identify challenges at the intersection of technology and business and see development through to completion with a focus on user value - Someone who can continuously learn the latest technologies such as generative AI and improve their own and the organization's productivity - Someone who takes ownership of the team's success and can collaborate across job boundaries - Someone who can balance speed and quality while rapidly iterating through improvement cycles ### Additional Info - English Level: None - Japanese Level: Business Level(JLPT Level 2 or N2) - Benefits: Comprehensive social insurance coverage - Holidays: Five-Day Workweek, Congratulatory or Condolence Leave - Job Contract Period: full-time employee
