Technical Writer Powerwall

The Role Your role will be within the Product Engineering Team for Residential Energy Products at Tesla Japan. You will be responsible for pre- and post-installation support for products, primarily Powerwalls and Wall Connectors. The team supports the launch of new products and features in Japan, expands into new markets, and ensures that products meet relevant quality and safety standards during installation. Your primary responsibilities will include creating, localizing, and distributing technical content in various formats for customers and partners, supporting the team's operations. Responsibility - You will collaborate with technical experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and translate and create content in an easily understandable language suitable for a diverse audience, from general homeowners to experienced installation technicians. - We independently create or localize high-quality technical content for Japan, including newsletters, installation manuals, troubleshooting guides, application notes, support pages, and training materials related to the design, installation, and operation of residential energy products. - We create visually appealing and easy-to-understand slides, diagrams, and other graphic content to enhance the communication and comprehensibility of technical information. - We collaborate with local experts in Japan to adapt technical content to local needs and standards, while ensuring consistency in style, tone, and terminology regardless of language domain or content format. - We continuously improve our content creation process, explore innovative methods to enhance the effectiveness of technical communication, and constantly track and learn industry trends in content creation and instructional design. Job Requirements 1. Strong English written and oral communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. 2. Practical experience in creating technical content (experience in the field of electrical engineering is preferred). 3. Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into engaging and easy-to-understand content. 4. Excellent organizational and project management skills, and the ability to adapt flexibly to changes in work priorities. 5. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software used in creating technical content. 6. Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of autonomy in a collaborative team environment. 7. English Level: Fluent (TOEIC 865-) 8. Japanese Level: Fluent (JLPT Level 1 or N1)
