Job Summary
This role provides business analysis support for product and client-led change projects within a fixed income settlement platform. The analyst will bridge the gap between product management and development teams throughout the software development life cycle. Responsibilities include defining requirements, creating documentation, and ensuring regulatory and market standards are met.

Job Details
What you will be doing:
- Provide business analysis support for Product and Client led change projects targeting the fixed income settlement functionality of the Post Trade Processing platform.
- Ensure that changes to product features are fully assessed to enable a suitable solution to be developed.
- Work closely with Product manager/owner, Development and test teams throughout software development life cycle to plan and agree solutions, ensuring that they are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and analyze the impact on the application for introduction of new product features.
- Liaise with other internal Product and Development teams to ensure that cross requirements are captured and documented as appropriate.
- Produce required change documentation (e.g. use cases, Acceptance Criteria, specifications) outlining the product needs.
- Create, maintain and update product features specifications as required.
- Work with Professional services and Implementations teams as needed.
- Work closely with other FIS business units where required to provide support for Product or Client specific developments and regulatory or industry initiatives.
- Participate in feature reviews for new and existing clients.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on Securities Back-Office or Broker-Dealer operations.
- Domain Knowledge: Practical experience in the Fixed Income sector regarding Japanese market infrastructure and facilities (e.g., JASDEC (PSMS, BETS), JSCC OTC JGB, and BOJ domestic/non-resident flows).
- Business Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Repo transactions (Gensaki, Gentan) and collateral re-hypothecation.
- Settlement & Protocols: Deep understanding of securities operations workflows, especially SWIFT MT/MX messaging in trading, clearing, and settlement.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Ability to read and interpret interface specifications. Proven track record of translating industry-wide initiatives into detailed requirements, conducting research/analysis, and producing scoping and Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
- Soft Skills: Outstanding presentation and product demonstration skills. Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with an autonomous, accountable, and reliable mindset.
