Job Description:
Initial Job Responsibilities: To deliver our products to customers in Asia, you will work as a translator, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, both domestically and internationally, to produce Chinese (Simplified) versions of our game software and game apps.
Specifically:
* Text translation for the Chinese (Simplified) version
* Coordination of text translation policies with multiple translators (including Traditional Chinese translators)
* Review (checking) translated text
* Gathering information from and providing information to relevant parties (external and internal)
* Creation of materials related to translation work (glossaries, style guides, etc.)
* Setting up the translation work environment
* Job responsibilities may change in the future.
Working Hours:
* Five-day work week (Monday to Friday)
* Flexible working hours (Core time: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 8 hours of work, 1 hour break)
* Overtime: Yes (approximately 20 hours per month)
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
* At least one year of experience in translating Japanese subculture (video games, novels, manga, TV anime, etc.)
* Basic office automation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience taking the lead in translating a single work
* Experience in translation quality control
* Experience in LQA for video games/apps, or proofreading books
* Ability to promote communication both internally and externally, and domestically and internationally
Language Requirements:
* Japanese: Fluent (JLPT Level 1 or N1)
* Chinese: Native Level
Salary and Benefits:
* Annual Salary: ¥5,500,000 - ¥8,000,000
* Monthly salary: ¥300,000 - ¥520,000 (includes 25 hours of deemed overtime)
* Overtime pay paid separately for hours beyond fixed overtime
* Salary increase: Yes
