Job Description:
You will be responsible for architectural design, construction support, and maintenance management at a global automobile manufacturer's factory.
Main Job Responsibilities:
Architectural Design and Planning:
- Architectural design of factory buildings and ancillary infrastructure
- Basic design and detailed design
- Creation and management of architectural drawings (floor plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings)
- Selection of building materials, finishes, and construction methods
- Design proposals considering cost, constructability, and sustainability
Legal and Quality Management:
- Confirmation of compliance with various laws and regulations, including the Building Standards Act, Fire Service Act, and barrier-free design
- Confirmation of quality standards
- Compliance with building-related laws and regulations
Project Management:
- Design coordination with MEP engineers and structural engineers
- Collaboration with project managers
- Design change management
- Coordination with construction companies
- Estimate and construction drawing review
- On-site inspection and construction quality management
Maintenance and Improvement:
- Building maintenance
- Renovation plan development
- Building asset management
- Cause analysis of water leaks and building defects
- Development of repair plans
- Continuous equipment improvement
*Work location: Higashimatsuyama factory
*Technical support and business trips to various domestic factories (Yorii, Musashi, Tochigi, Misato, Izumozaki, Takasaki, etc.) may be required as needed.
Job Requirements:
Required Conditions:
- Graduate of an architecture-related faculty or department
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design and construction management at a general contractor or design firm
- Experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, construction drawings, and as-built drawings
- Knowledge of construction, process management, and quality control
- PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with stakeholders
- Japanese language proficiency: fluent or above
- Ability to read English documents and respond to emails in English
- English proficiency sufficient for technical communication with overseas stakeholders
- Ability to commute to Higashimatsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture
Preferred Conditions:
- First-class certification Architect qualification
- First-class construction management engineer qualification
