Financial Java Engineer

### Job Description Join a high-performing technology team delivering a next-generation equity finance trading platform used by front and middle office stakeholders. You will drive both new development and modernization of existing applications in a globally connected environment. ### Responsibilities - Develop and maintain equity finance / prime brokerage applications - Enhance and modernize legacy systems using microservices architecture - Collaborate with front office, middle office, and cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions - Perform impact analysis and implement regulatory and market-driven changes - Take ownership of application releases, including testing and deployment processes - Drive automation, DevOps adoption, and system optimization initiatives - Provide support for production issues and ensure system stability ### Required Skills & Profile - 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java development - Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and Unix/Linux environments - Solid database knowledge (e.g., MSSQL or similar) - Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Perl) - Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus) - Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills - Understanding of enterprise architecture and design patterns - Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mock frameworks) - Excellent communication skills in English; Japanese is a plus - Ability to work effectively in a global team environment ### Job Offer & Benefits - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge trading platforms - Exposure to global stakeholders and international teams - Hybrid working environment in Tokyo - Dynamic, high-impact development environment - Long term contract role with strong potential for extension
