Job Summary
This role is a dynamic field-based position requiring a qualified veterinarian to provide technical education and scientific support to sales teams and veterinary practices across Japan. The incumbent will focus on coaching Area Sales Managers, conducting educational presentations, and representing the brand at major veterinary events. It is ideal for a professional passionate about teaching, relationship building, and business development within the veterinary industry.

Required Skills
- Qualified veterinarian (min 2 years experience)
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Fluent Japanese and Business English
- Proactive and independent field-working ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support & Field Coaching: Deliver Lunch & Learn sessions and one-to-one educational meetings with veterinary practices; provide in-field technical support alongside ASMs across Japan; coach and assess ASMs on product knowledge and technical competency; provide timely and constructive feedback following field visits; support practices through educational talks and technical presentations; respond to technical and product-related enquiries, including SAR support during working hours.
- Training & Development: Deliver technical training for new and existing ASMs; conduct regular product training and technical assessments; support continuous learning through technical testing and annual evaluations; provide telephone and email support to customers and sales teams.
- Congress & Event Support: Represent VetPlus at major veterinary congresses and events across Japan; build relationships with key delegates, speakers, specialists, and KOLs; document and follow up on opportunities arising from events.
- Technical Marketing Support: Assist with the development of technical materials and presentations; support the identification and management of referral specialists and KOLs; collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve training content and resources.
- Reporting & Administration: Submit weekly activity reports and monthly calendars; maintain accurate CRM records; complete field visit reports within 48 hours.
Job Requirements:
Essential:
- Qualified veterinarian with at least 2 years’ experience in small animal practice
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Passion for education, coaching, and relationship-building
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a field-based environment
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Willingness to travel extensively across Japan and stay away from home when required
Desirable:
- Experience within the veterinary pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry
- Experience delivering technical or commercial training
- Existing relationships within the Japanese veterinary industry
Language Requirements:
- English: Business Conversation Level (TOEIC 735-860)
- Japanese: Fluent (JLPT Level 1 or N1)
