This role involves providing insurance procedures and consulting services related to employee benefits to Japanese subsidiaries, based on a global insurance program established by overseas headquarters. The position relies exclusively on inbound referrals from partner overseas insurance agencies with no cold calling required. Candidates will utilize both English and Japanese communication skills in a flexible work environment offering work-from-home options.

Responsibilities

  • Handle insurance arrangement and renewal procedures for group term life and GLTD insurance.
  • Coordinate between overseas agencies, Japanese customers, and domestic insurance companies.
  • Conduct customer follow-ups, coverage proposals, and employee briefings.
  • Manage contract information and provide tailored consulting for daily inquiries.

Job Description This role involves providing insurance procedures and consulting services related to employee benefits to Japanese subsidiaries, based on a global insurance program established by the overseas headquarters. Since we only handle referrals from our partner overseas insurance agencies (over 200 companies), there is absolutely no cold calling or telemarketing. [Job Responsibilities] ■ Insurance Arrangement and Renewal Procedures - New arrangements and renewals of comprehensive group term life insurance and GLTD (Group Long-Term Insurance) - Three-party coordination between overseas agencies, Japanese policyholders (customers), and domestic insurance companies ■ Customer Follow-up and Briefings - Proposal and explanation of coverage details to the Japanese subsidiary's representative - Conducting briefings for employees at client companies ■ Daily Maintenance and Additional Proposals - Continuous management of contract information and handling daily inquiries - Providing additional consulting tailored to customer needs [Work Characteristics and Environment] ■ Sales Style No individual quotas or commission system (individual performance is evaluated through bonuses) Completely response-based, no cold calling or telemarketing. ■ Division of Labor Administrative tasks are handled by assistants, allowing you to focus on customer service. ■ Number of Responsibilities and Frequency of Outings Starting with 120 securities (contracts) upon joining (typically 140-200 securities). Outings are mainly within Tokyo, approximately 2-3 times per week. ■ Use of Language Skills (English) English (reading and writing) is used for communication with overseas agents (email and written correspondence). Communication with domestic customers is primarily in Japanese. 【Organizational Structure】 ■ Insurance Group: Approximately 40 people ■ Organizational Structure: 3 Sales Teams, 1 Accounting Team, 1 Assistant Team ■ Sales Team Composition for this Position: 5 people (1 female department head/3 staff/1 staff member on maternity/childcare leave) Working Hours 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Break: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) *Actual results for FY2023: 10 hours per month (average for all staff, including sales) ① Flexible working hours available (core time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) *Please adjust your monthly working hours by multiplying the number of working days by 8 hours. ② Work-from-home system available (approximately half of the month) *Not available during the probationary period. Job Requirements [Required Qualifications] ■ Practical experience in the insurance industry (approximately 3 years) Experience at a life insurance company, non-life insurance company, insurance agency (non-life insurance specialist), or insurance broker (non-life insurance specialist) ■ Business-level English proficiency Ability to communicate with overseas agencies (reading and writing emails and documents), and to conduct interviews with department heads (foreign nationals) and executives, as well as speak with client executives.
