QA Engineer

Job Description A renowned automotive technology company is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The chosen applicant will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by assessing product quality and coordinating communication between the plant and customers. Responsibilities: * Make initial analysis of customer-returned parts, including OEM 0km failures and market Field claims, and lead further initial analysis at the Japan Office or external lab as the company's customer window person * Drive problem-solving activities using 8D, A3, FTA, Fishbone, and other quality tools with Plant Quality Engineers, and report results to customers to secure 8D cycle time and high-quality levels * Plan and conduct sorting, inspection, or reflash actions when needed, including work instruction creation, OK/NOK quantity control, and cost control * Create quality-related reports for internal and external needs, including internal quality reports and customer quality presentations * Coordinate customer audit preparation and follow-up with the production plant * Coordinate Customer PPAP, ISIR collection, PPAP submission, and change management * Lead Japan Office team members and conduct quality-related training, internal audits, and layered audits from a continuous improvement perspective Requirements: * More than 5 years of experience as an office quality engineer or process quality engineer in the automotive supplier field * Experience working in tier1 auto parts supplier * Customer-Oriented Mindset * Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally * Business level Japanese; proficient in English Preferred Requirements: * Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering * Experience working with JOEM * Quality audit methodology knowledge and experience (certified auditor) * International assignment or overseas work experience * Production Knowledge of automotive electronics components * Knowledge of IATF16949/VDA6.3/Design for Six Sigma requirements (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.) * Proficient in Chinese
