Job Summary
You will be responsible for overall production management of bespoke industrial machinery for major clients like Nippon Steel and Panasonic. This role acts as a command center, overseeing the entire lifecycle from design and parts procurement to assembly and final commissioning. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure strict adherence to quality, cost, and delivery deadlines.

Job Details
Production and Process Management for Custom-Made Equipment
Responsibilities:
- Process Management and Progress Adjustment: Collaborate with sales, design, and procurement departments, as well as external partners to manage production workflows, ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Man-hour and Resource Management: Evaluate design and assembly workloads to ensure schedules are realistic and to mitigate risks of delays.
- Cost Management/VEC Proposals: Enhance project profitability by reviewing bills of materials (BOMs), proposing cost-effective parts, and providing feedback to the design team.
- Subcontract Management/Supplier Control: Negotiate prices and delivery dates with external suppliers and processing subcontractors.
Working Hours:
- 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours/day, 60-minute break).
- Average overtime: ~20 hours per month (paid in full).
Holidays:
- 120 days annual leave, Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays off.
- Includes 6-day summer vacation and 7-day New Year's holiday.
Job Requirements:

- Experience at an industrial machinery or equipment manufacturer.
- Experience in production management, process management, procurement, or manufacturing management.
- Knowledge of custom-made manufacturing and ability to visualize parts and processes from blueprints.
- Standard driver's license.
- Japanese Level: Business Level (JLPT N2 or higher).

- Value Engineering (VEC) perspective and experience in cost reduction.
- Experience in outsourcing management and purchasing negotiations.
- Drawing interpretation skills (CAD skills not required).
