AI Image Scientist Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an AI image scientist/engineer to conduct R&D in the AI/CV field, focusing on recognition, classification, and generative AI. The role involves solving complex customer challenges by utilizing image data from cameras and satellites through cutting-edge multimodal technologies. You will engage in both technical development and business communication, creating proposals and solutions for diverse industrial clients.

### Job Responsibilities
- Research and development in the AI/CV field, utilizing elemental technologies such as object learning, recognition, classification, and prediction, primarily using image data from cameras and satellites.
- Respond to growing customer needs for AI imaging projects and provide solutions using cutting-edge technology.
- Conduct research and development in generative AI, including multimodal approaches such as image2text, text2image, video2sound, and text2vid.
- Break down technical requirements from customers, create proposal slides, explain technical features, prepare schedules and quotes, negotiate, and handle Q&A.
- Present research at international conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH) and submit papers to high-impact journals.
### Required Skills/Experience
- Experience solving real-world problems that cannot be solved by AI image models alone.
- Ability to propose new processing algorithms utilizing the latest research and independent ideas.
- Proficiency in image processing and computer vision in addition to AI imaging.
- Effective communication skills in both Japanese (Business level) and English (Daily conversation level).
- Experience in learning and predicting non-stationarity, nonlinearity, and abnormal changes in time-series image data.
- Ability to collaborate in a cross-cultural and multinational environment.
### Preferred Skills/Experience
- Advanced programming skills (Python, C/C++, Java).
- R&D experience using cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Publication record in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH) or journals.
- PhD in science, engineering, or related fields.
- Strong background in mathematics, physics, or information and control theory.
### Working Conditions
- Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (8 hours/day, 60-minute break).
- Overtime: Average 15 hours/month.
- Holidays: Two full days off per week, summer vacation, New Year's holiday, 125 annual holidays.
